SKEWED RECOLLECTIONS

My most recent work SKEWED RECOLLECTIONS is a series of five reduction relief prints. These prints are interpreted memories I have of my late father’s favorite activities. These prints depict a variety of animals that have heavy symbolism, as well as self-portraits. This series stands out from my other work because these prints are more comforting rather than somber. It has been difficult to remember the wonderful times I had with my dad after living through the real life nightmare of these past few years. However, when I translated these memories on to paper the works emerged full of movement, humor, and character just like my dad.
